Have a mini session coming up? Here is my list of helpful tips and tricks to get the most out of your session!

Mini sessions are not just discounted sessions, they are shortened sessions in which you get the same experience as a regular session but at a quicker pace so you can snag a set of high resolution, quality images of your loved ones without taking up so much of your time!

Timing - As mini sessions are run in succession, and are shorter in time than normal sessions, it is recommended that you arrive around 3-5 minutes early for your session. I do NOT recommend you arrive considerably earlier as you will potentially be a distraction for the session before yours, however you MUST be on time as there is generally no wiggle room for a late start time. I do build in a few minutes, but I want to squeeze in as many shots as humanly possible in the short time frame so make sure to stick to your slot!

Standard posing lineup - Mini sessions typically run at a quicker pace than normal, and my lineup for poses includes, but is not limited to:
-whole group
- parents w/o kids
-kids w/o parents
- boys
-girls
-mom w/kiddos
-dad w/kiddos
- standing and sitting, in various groupings
-use of props in various groupings
-group with signage that is fitting of the time for holiday card use (Thank You, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, etc)

Inspiration - I do NOT copy Pinterest poses or other artists' creative visions, but if you have a vision of your own based on some pieces you've seen - send them to me! I like to see what inspires you so we can incorporate it and come up with something together!

What to bring for kiddos - If you have small children, especially toddlers and babies, make sure to bring along a favorite toy or favorite snack as motivation for a smile here and there! I like to get a mixture of candids and smiles, and am great at getting them, but sometimes the fruit snacks and/or candy I pack along may not be the thing they want so that favorite bunny rabbit or tractor toy Mom packs along may be just the trick!

Outfit help - this is the biggest question I hear, especially for Fall and Christmas minis, and I have a few places I go for inspiration! My awesome friend Holly Beach and her partner have collaborated to develop an amazing wardrobe styling site in which you can put in your parameters and it will provide you visualization and shopping links for easy shopping to come up with the perfect, coordinating outfits for your sessions! I have a member login you will be able to use if you wish, for their database at Honeytree Style & Select! They have a styling questionnaire that you can fill out for your session based on your family members that will be involved, or if you wish I can fill it out for you and send you the suggested outfit ideas! They fit all different combinations of people, budgets, seasons, and session types! You will not believe how amazing these ladies have made this styling tool!

After your session - I put up a sneak peek for mini sessions (usually 1-2 photos per session) within 24 hours of your session, and the rest of your online gallery will be posted live within 5 additional business days! My goal with every mini session is to deliver your gallery of high resolution images within a timely fashion so you may select your digital files and use them for your holiday cards or order prints at your earliest convenience! I will collect your name, email and phone number at your session as those are the key pieces to log in to your gallery, which is private and only available to those whom you choose to share the login info with! You will then open the gallery and peruse the information that the site provides as to how to navigate the gallery. After briefly checking out the directions, you will be able to favorite, order prints or, select digital files, and design canvases and albums with your images! Once you've selected your included digital files you will let me know and they will be delivered to your email address!

Mini Session Refund/Cancellation Policy: Because Mini Sessions are available on a limited basis, all Mini Session bookings are final and non-refundable. They cannot be rescheduled to a new date or time. If you are unable to attend your Mini Session, however, you are welcome to gift or re-sell it to a friend or family member.
